Garden
Tour
22
October 2017 Members
of II 56 finally got to
experience the tranquil beauty
of Maluhia, a private Japanese
garden
nestled below the Ko`olau mountains in
Waimanalo. Owner and host
David escorted
the group into
the garden, pointing
out features as we
went.
The
garden is filled
with varieties of
ti plants, in many
sizes and colors,
interspersed
with other leafy
plants punctuated
with stone
lanterns,
statues and
more.
Much to
everyone's
surprise, he
had even created
a
flower
arrangment in the nearly
rebuilt
tea house.
Following the
tour, the
group
converged on
Jean's beach
house for a
delicious
lunch with a
front-row
view of Waimanalo
Bay
and all its
glorious
shades of
blue.
