One of our chapter's educational projects is to reach out to Japanese language classes in several high schools around Oahu.   Through a generous grant, funded by the Japanese Women's Society, Ikebana International was able to visit four schools during the 2014-2015 school year. An ikebana demonstration and hands-on lessons were provided at each school. These schools were Kalani High School, Sacred Hearts Academy, Leilehua High School and Washington Middle School. During the 2015-2016 School year, funded by a grant from the Garden Club of Honolulu, we will be selecting four additional schools to visit and share our lessons on ikebana.
